A slow, tactical race but another very close finish for 2nd. I make the DL final, again!

St Moritz - New altitude training location

in the thin in air of Switzerland for the month of August to prepare for Tokyo and complete the Diamond League season.

I make my 6th consecutive World Championships in 1500m. It's an honour to represent Kenya!

Eugene Diamond League 50th Anniversary

Wow! 3.47.79 Mile PB (again). What. A. Race. It was exactly 10 years on from my first Pre Classic! This meet is special.

Oslo Diamond League - 4th

Back to personal best days - I run 3.49.06 my fastest time since 2018.

Paris Diamond League - 2nd

Solid opener to DL season with a very close (0.03 seconds) from the win - 3.29 is my fastest 1500m DL opener in my career next to 2020's Monaco.

Another first - Font Romeu altitude camp

Straight to France for a new training location for 5 weeks joining Coach Tomasz and my training partners as I lead into 2 European Diamond Leagues.

Grand Slam Track debut, Miami

Kick of the season with 800m & 1500m in Michael Johnston's new league. Thanks for the invite, Michael!

New Year. New set-up - first time training in South Africa.

Two camps in January and March/April in Dullstroom and Potchefstroom, South Africa with Coach Tomasz Lewandoski and his Nike training group. Thinking outside of the box and experimenting with change. Feeling great.

2024

Diamond League Final Brussels - 2nd

So happy to bounce back after the Olympics! Good end to my season with 2nd in 3.30.93, next to my nemesis Jakob. Beating Cole Hocker and Yared Nguse the Olympics Gold and Bronze medallists was a small consolation. My DL record:

Paris Olympics - Another 1500m final

Navigated the rounds OK but the final for me was a bad day at the office, 11th. Very disappointed.

3.28.71 My fastest 4 times of my career are all from Monaco. Good confidence builder before Olympics.

Semi-Final World Championships: So disappointed

First time in my career not making a World final due to an injury sustained in the first heat of the champ. Season ended.

Season best and fastest time since the Olympics 2021 - progressing well.

Budapest World Championships - Semi-Finals

Injury prevents from making the final for the 5th consecutive World Champs. I will be back.

2nd in Zurich - 5 wins out of 6 consecutive Diamond Leauge Finals

Really proud of how I ended the season. Thanks Zurich!

Silver medal at the Commonwealth Games, Birmingham

So, so close on the line! 3.30.21. Disappointed not to get Gold but happy to get Silver in another seasons best.

My fourth consecutive World Championships, Eugene, USA

Seeking to retain my title. I settled for 6th in the world in a seasons best 3.30.69.

Win the award from the DL for being the most consistent middle distance athlete in the world in 2021.

Four-in-a-row! Diamond League Champion 2021

So so happy. I win the Diamond Trophy for the 4th consecutive time. Thanks Zurich.

One of the proudest moments of my life. Carrying the Kenyan flag at the Olympics closing ceremony. A huge honour!

A day I will never forget. H.E the President Uhuru Kenyata confers to me the Order Of Grand Warrior (OGW) a State commendation. I am honoured and greatly humbled.
